Regarding the player working indefinitely, this might be the case in a conceptual way as defined by the Native Instruments marketing folks-but nobody in marketing wants to say that a product stops working-so while the player 'keeps working', some of the functionality required by certain instrument(s) stops working after 15 minutes, which has the same outcome as the player not working. Regardless, if everything is closed and you start a new session with NOTION and Kontakt 5, where everything is fine for 15 minutes but then starts doing the weird stuff, this is the cause of the problem. Last month Native Instruments had their now annual Thanksgiving Holiday 50-percent discount sale on Kontakt 5, which lasted about one week so that buying opportunity won't appear for another 11 months-but they had a second 50-percent discount sale one summer, perhaps in 2013. It used to be 30 minutes, but you're right-now it's been reduced to 15 minutes. I am using the free player, and some of its editing functions quit after 15 minutes, but the player should continue working indefinitely. Surf, I don't think that's quite correct. This should not happen with the full version of Kontakt 5. If you are using the full version of Kontakt 5, then more information will be helpful.
